Europe’s biggest open-air museum is located in Pyrohiv village not far from Kyiv. The national museum of folk architecture and way of life “Pyrohovo” covers an area of 131 hectares. Ancient culture of each Ukrainian region is depicted here in hundreds of exhibited items from household items, to traded items, architecture and interiors of the village. Central Naddnipryanshchyna, Poltava region and Sloboda Ukraine, Polesia, Podillia, the South, the Carpathians, separate ethnographic regions are presented in the museum.
