The former German colony “Unterbergen” invites you to explore the legendary three old oaks, which, according to legend, were repeatedly visited by Ukrainian hetman and Polish cossack, Bogdan Khmelnitsky during the offense of Lviv. The oaks carry a very good energy and it is believed that those who stand between the three oaks for 3 minutes will be healthy for the whole year.
The local Church of Archangel Michael (1891-1910) was built in the Neo-Byzantine style by Ivan Levynskyi. The temple is famous all over the country for its precious art, composed in the style of Ukrainian Art Nouveau, by one of the greatest Ukrainian artists of the last century, Modest Sosenko. The Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky invited his distinguished guests from Lviv to see the painting. We invite you to see one of Ukraine’s finest churches.
The former “Bilka Shliakhetska”, invites you to explore the magnificent church of St. Wojciech (1546) and now the church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin.
Here is the church, which will soon disappear (XVIII), which in 1922, was rebuilt by the famous architect Bronislav Victor.
In the village, you can find the church of St. Nicholas (1400, or 1651), which, in the 1920s, was rebuilt by the famous architect, Bronislav Victor. The temple has preserved the magnificent frescoes designed by Stanislav Teixeira.
In this typical Galician village is the palace of Bartmanskykh (ХІХ), in which, there are plans to create a museum “Manor-house of the XIX century”.
A glorious city in the past, at the intersection of trade routes, was famous for its weavers. This city preserved to this day the three monuments of sacred architecture: the wooden church of the Assumption (1749), the church of the Holy Spirit (1791) and St. Nicholas church (1894). In the church of Nicholas is a wonderfully preserved image of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ (XV). Also very interesting and informative is the museum of carpet weaving and weaving.
This is one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in Ukraine, thanks to the defense monastery-fortress of the Univ Lavra (XV-XIX). The Lavra is located in the picturesque part of the Gologory, near the spring, on the site of the miraculous healing of Prince Lagodovsky. Many outstanding figures of Ukrainian history and culture lived and worked in the monastery, including Ivan Vyshensky, who wrote “The message to Domnikii”.
Vynnyky reflects the beauty of nature in a way reminiscent of the 19th century. Situated on the outskirts of Lviv, it is also called "little Switzerland". The legend says that Vynnyky was built by winemakers, but residents of the city joke that “Everything is built here from tobacco smoke”, since the first tobacco factory in Ukraine was built on the remains of the castle in 1778. Details about all this can be found in the local museum of Vynnyky.
