Museums in Verkhovyna and Kryvorivnia, Kosiv ceramics, traditional lizhnyk blankets in Yavoriv, waterfalls in Sheshory, liquors and tea tasting.

Day 1: Departure from Lviv (08:00) – Sheshory (silver waterfalls) – Kosiv (lunch, excursion to a ceramics factory) – Yavoriv (workshop on lizhnyk making) – Kryvorivnia (tasting museum “Didova apteka” (“Grandpa’s pharmacy”)) – Verkhovyna (hotel check-in at 19:30, Hutsul wedding and dinner).
Day 2: Breakfast and departure (08:00) – Verkhovyna (museum of Hutsul magic) – Snidavka (walking way to Ternoshorska Lada cliffs) – Kosiv (lunch) – Runhury (park of garden sculptures and lunch) – Pechenizhyn (visit to Oleksa Dovbush museum and Opryshky challenges) – Lviv (return at 23:00).

Entry tickets price:
- Excursion to the ceramics factory in Kosiv: general, senior, student – 20 UAH, pupils – 10 UAH;
- Workshop on lizhnyk making: – 30 UAH;
- Museum «Didova apteka»: adults – 45 UAH (liquors and tea tasting), children – 35 UAH (syrups and tea tasting);
- Museum of Hutsul magic: – 25 UAH;
- Park of garden sculptures: – 10 UAH;
- Historical and local history museum of Oleksa Dovbush in Pechenizhyn: general, student, senior – 20 UAH, pupils – 10 UAH;

Day 1 breakfast – Eat at home or take some sandwiches with you to have a snack during bus stops.
Day 1 lunch – Cafe in Kosiv city. Price – 95 UAH per person.
Day 1 dinner – “Hutsul wedding”; on the menu: kulesha with mushrooms, Hutsul knyshi, budz (Hutsul cheese), vegetables, bread, Carpathians herbs tea, Carpathian amusing water. Price – 100 UAH.
Day 2 breakfast – manor house, on the menu: omelette, pancakes with afenas (blueberries), sandwiches with cheese, tea/coffee. Price – 70 UAH per person.
Day 2 lunch – cafe in Kosiv city. Price – 95 UAH per person.

Get to khow the culture of Hutsuls – an ethnic group of Ukrainians living in the Carpathian mountains region. Participate in the ceremony of Hutsul wedding and see Hutsul kniez (prince) and kniehynia (princess) welcome to Hutsul wedding. What to expect:

  • be a guest at Hutsul wedding ceremony;
  • See the process of kniez and kniehynia, groomsman and bridesmaid dressing up to the accompaniment of a violin;
  • Preparation of a wedding tree;
  • The first dance of the newly-weds;
  • wedding rituals;
  • wedding songs and dances;
  • Hutsul cuisine dishes;
  • Hutsul initiation ceremony.

Price for Hutsul dinner and participation in the wedding – 170 UAH.
Price for the participation in the entertainment without dinner – 75 UAH.
Note: Hutsul wedding takes place only if there is a group of 35 people who want to participate.

Technical information on walking route to Ternoshorska Lada (TL) Cliffs

  1. When the weather is dry, the route to TL starts from the Bukivutskyi passage (one way walking route is 4.5km and takes 40-50 mins.), from TL the group heads for Snidavka village to a bus (the length – 2.5km, duration - 30 mins.).
  2. When the weather is soggy, the route to TL and back starts in Snidavka village (the length of the route to TL and back is 5.5km).
  3. The itinerary is worked out for an average group of physically abled people.
  4. Taking the excursion does not require previous experience or preparation.
  5. To take the walking route, make sure you have comfortable footwear. You will also need to cross a mountain spring twice; be sure you have appropriate footwear (rubber boots or sandals “flip-flops”).
  6. The walking route is not compulsory, those who do not want to take it can have a walk in the Carpathian village of Snidavka.
