One of the most beautiful and romantic castles in Ukraine. Svirzh and Cetner castle is built in Renaissance style (1484) over a picturesque pond. The castle has frequently been the place for filming movies, the most famous of which is the film "D'Artagnan and Three Musketeers". Not far from the castle there are also the Church of Assumption of the Virgin Mary (1546) and the ruins of the Defense Tower (1484).
This city has the most exceptional number of monuments in western Ukraine. The Zolochiv castle (1634) and Chinese Palace (one of three in Europe), are decorated with unique and unusual ornamentation. Mysterious Templar stones with two wreaths, known for making your dreams come true, have always been of particular interest for tourists.
Koniecpolski Pidhirtsi Castle with park (1635) was once considered one of the most beautiful castles in Europe and is one of the best examples of a Renaissance palace and bastion fortifications combination. Here you will also see the beautifully decorated St. Joseph Church (1763), a local tavern and brewery, all built in XVIII century.
Here you will visit the 14-18th Century Museum of “Olesko Castle”. This should be a once in a lifetime experience for every Ukrainian. The fortress on the hill is one of the oldest in the Ukrainian lands (1390). Its exhibition recreates the atmosphere of cultural and artistic life of the past centuries; the castle boasts one of Europe's largest collections of wooden sculptures, including one sculpted by John George Pinsel. According to legend, the souls of the lovers, Adam Zolkiewski and the daughter of the owner of the castle Martsiana, walk the castle at night. Capuchin monastery, St. Anthony Church (1739) and the Gothic Church of the Holy Trinity (1545) are also highlights of Olesko.
