One of the most beautiful places in Podolia above the river Seret, due to its mild climate and beautiful nature, has been attracting people since Trypillia. Therefore, it is not surprising that on the hill above the village the Khodorkovsky brothers built a rectangular brick fortress with four rounded corner towers (XVII century), which repeatedly became the last refuge of locals against enemies. The castle eventually turned into a monastery with the Church of the Holy Cross (1765), and then the hospital of the monastery of the Daughters of Mercy (1846).
