The village is known as the birthplace of the famous Ukrainian artist and public figure, Kornylo Ustyianovych, who was born here in the family of the prominent writer and poet, Mykola Ustyianovych. To show honour and love for their countrymen, they founded a Museum-estate of the Ustyianovych family in Vovkiv. The connoisseurs of the native land will also be interested in the Church of Introduction (1702) and the ruins of the Church of Mary Magdalene (1924), built in the Art Deco style by the outstanding architect, Bronislav Viktor. In the temple, they filmed the first Ukrainian historical detective film on the work of I. Franko, “Crime with many unknowns.”
