Here on a single volcanic mountain, there is the most powerful fortress in Ukraine – the castle Palanok (XIV century), built by Prince Fedir Koriatovych and covered in heroic glory by Princess Ilona Zrini. If you have free time in Mukachevo, you can see many other attractions: the chapel of St. Martyn (XIV century), the Palace of Rakotsi (1663) and a beautiful green Town Hall (1903).
The super-modern complex “Thermal waters of Kosyno” is located in an oak grove, has 5 pools and 7 saunas; the average temperature in the thermal pools is + 41°C. The complex takes pride in its largest Jacuzzi fountains in Ukraine with “coffee”, “wine”, “beer”, “palenka” and the illusion fountain “The Golden Crane of Health” with the height of 15.5 meters. Both adults and children enjoy relaxing here; it is also beneficial for health.
Berehovo volcanic lowlands
The outskirts of Berehovo have long been world-famous for their wines, which have a rich aroma and a great wealth of taste. This is due to the volcanic rocks on which the grapes grow and the energy of the sun because this area has most of the sunny days in Transcarpathia.
