The birthplace of Suleiman the Magnificent`s wife, Roxelana (Hurrem Sultan), and the Rohatyntsi brothers. This is an amazing Galician town with great landmarks of sacral art. The wooden church of the Holy Spirit (1598) is one of the best examples of Galician folk wooden architecture. It belongs to the most valuable sacral constructions in the world and is added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The church hosts a unique five-level Renaissance and Baroque iconostasis (1650), one of the three oldest iconostases of Ukraine.
St. Nicolas and Anna church (XV century) designed and built in Gothic and Renaissance style, and the church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God (XV century) built in Gothic and Baroque style, also draw visitors’ attention.
