Here, in one of the most picturesque places of Ukrainian Carpathians, in the very heart of Gorgany ridge, there is a luxury residence of Ukrainian presidents “Synohora”. In its area, you can see the protected nature, Carpathian bears, a trout pond, Skansen and, of course, the majestic building, where the presidents of Ukraine have a holiday. Until recently, it was almost impossible to get here, but now it hospitably welcomes tourists.
In this unspoiled Carpathian area, in the majestic stone canyon, the water flow falls from a height of 8 meters and forms a magnificent Bukhtivets waterfall. Not far from it, there is the 10-meter high waterfall Krapelkovyi, one of the few waterfalls that can be viewed from both sides, going between the waterfall and the rock from which the water drops. Cherished scenic landscapes of the Carpathian nature fascinate and impress every single visitor.
In this Carpathian village, in the residence of a local priest, there is one of the best ethnographic museums in Halychyna, which perfectly combines Boykiv, Opil, Hutsul and Pokut samples of folk clothing, as well as applied and decorative art. The exposition of the Museum of the history of the underground UGCC is also extremely informative.
At the foot of mount Starohora, there are the picturesque ruins of the only in Prykarpattia castle of Kuropatvas (XVI century), which preserved defensive towers, five-foot walls and the remains of the Palace. Everyone interested in the two-hundred-year history of the oil industry of Prykarpattia can learn about it in the Museum of oil fields of Halychyna, which shows the full-size oil and gas equipment.
Stepan Bandera, the head of the OUNR, was born and spent his childhood in this Carpathian village, in the family of a local priest. You can still see the house in which the family of the outstanding Ukrainian lived, as well as the big Historical and Memorial Museum of Stepan Bandera.
Once a large industrial centre is known for the mining of potassium and magnesium salts. If you want to see the Ukrainian “Dead sea” and snow in the summer, then you have to visit this place, because on the slopes of the tailing dumps there are deposits of potassium salts, which resemble the famous “Pamukkale”.
Among picturesque Pidhiria there is an ostrich farm "Savannah" set up by ATO participant Serhii Shvets. Here, they breed and sell the biggest birds in the world – African ostriches, which reach a height of 2.7 meters and weight up to 160 kg. Visitors will enjoy an interactive tour, where you can learn about the mysteries of ostriches' life from their birth, eggs in an incubator to adult adventures. And everyone can try scrambled eggs from the largest egg in the world, which has a weight of 1.5-2 kg and replaces about 30 eggs.
The former “Halychian Klondike” attracts with its unique geological phenomenon, the “mud volcano”, which was formed as a result of earthquakes in different parts of the world. The volcano has 8 craters and emits gas, water, clay pulp and oil to the surface of the earth.
Not far from the town of Dolyna in the foothills of the Carpathians, there is a farm “Eco-Carpathians”. The farm specializes in breeding goats of Alpine and Saanen breeds and sheep of German Merino breed. It is also famous for cultivating bilberries (European blueberries). During your visit to the farm, you can taste delicious and healthy goat cheeses.

In this one of the most modern and most interesting interactive museums in Ukraine, you can touch, pull and try everything. During the tour, you can also learn to determine the age of the trees, get into the tree hollow, pet the wolf, wild boar or fox and climb into the Carpathian tram driver's cab.
