Mariampol
Located on the picturesque banks of the Dniester, it was once a glorious town on the Opillia. Here you can see the remains of Mariampol castle (XVII), the monastery of Capuchins and sisters of mercy (XVIII), the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (1930) and the 600 year old Simon Petliura oak. From observation platforms, you can also admire magnificent panoramas of the Dniester.
Rakovets
This very picturesque place sits on the right bank of the Dniester. You will see the photogenic tower; it is all that remains of the once-powerful Rakovets castle (1660). The fortress is located within the Regional landscape Park “Dniester”. The fragrance of flowers and herbs combine with the picturesque scenery to create a tranquil and relaxing space for body and soul.
Rusiv
This glorious village was once home to a brilliant Ukrainian novelist Vasyl Stefanyk. In the premises of the school (1927), there is a cozy Literary Memorial Museum of Vasyl Stefanyk. Nearby the writer's house is a nice pond and picturesque panoramas, that inspire and distract from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Sniatyn
One of the Pokuttya centers can be seen from afar thanks to a 50m tower that sits on one of the highest town halls in Ukraine (1861). In Sniatyn, you can also see the Armenian Church (XVIII), Church of the Ascension (1838), Church of the Assumption (1843) and a beautiful panorama of the Prut river valley, through which, you can see Bukovina.
Hvizdets
This is the birthplace of the famous painter, Yaroslav Pstrak. This place attracts tourists with the Bernardine monastery and the majestic Baroque Church of St. Anthony (1721-1735) and gate belfry (1902).
Khmeleva
This extraordinarily picturesque and beautiful village stretches on the gentle slopes of the Dniester canyon. Its warm climate meant it was once famous for its vineyards. It is a convenient spot to start or finish rafting on the Dniester.
