Svirzh
One of the most picturesque and romantic castles in Ukraine, Svirzh Castle, built in the Renaissance style (1484) above a picturesque pond. The castle has acted as a filming location for various movies, the most famous of which is the film "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers". Not far from the fortress are also the Church of the Assumption (1546) and the ruins of the defensive tower (1484).
Yaremche
The famous climatic resort, located between the picturesque mountains in the valley of the Prut River. Flysch rock deposits on the Prut River near Yaremche form a giant silhouette of an elephant, which we can approach to take photos.
Mykulychyn
The Museum of Custom Symbols of the Hutsul Region is one of the richest and most colorful museums in the Carpathians housed in a traditional hut. Here you can learn about the culture of Hutsuls – an ethnic group of Ukrainians living in the Carpathian mountains. You will see many unique exhibits of Hutsul life, learn the meaning of Hutsul symbols used in household items, embroidery, paintings and carving. The museum features wooden sculptures and a large round stone. In the hut near the museum, you can see how the famous dish "banosh" is prepared and taste Hutsul liquors.
Khomiak Mountain
One of the most interesting peaks is Gorgany mountain range, 1542 meters high. It was named khomiak - 'hamster' because of its resemblance to the back of a cute rodent - a hamster. The mountain offers a magnificent panorama of Gorgany, you can also see the highest peak of the Carpathians - Hoverla and Petros mountain. The Carpathian meadows will impress you with their lush herbs and rare plants such as wild violets, asters, poppies and even edelweiss.
Zhenetsky Huk
Near the longest Ukrainian village Mykulychyn, one of the most famous waterfalls in the Carpathians, Zhenetsky Huk, flows from the Gorgan peaks. It was formed in the postwar years as a result of floods. Locals named the waterfall huk because of the noise it makes. This extremely picturesque waterfall has one cascade and a height of 15 meters.
